Safe Arrival for Ben

Elder B. Christensen Is alive and well and arrived safely in California on Monday. He took a charter plane to Santa Barbara and spent the day there in the mission home. His P-day will be Monday so be watching for his up-dates on Monday's or Tuesdays. Ben has been assigned to serve in the Moorpark area which is south and inland from Ventura, near the Simi Valley. His companion is Elder Ray. All letters and packages will be going through the mission office at this time so go ahead and send anything you have been waiting to send to the mission address below. Be sure to send things Priority Mail (I'm not totally sure what that means but I will find out and let you know!)

Hi Everyone!
We talked to both Ben and Matt this week from the airport and they were both excited to get to work in California. Ben left with 12 missionaries Monday and Matt left with 11 Wednesday. Here are the addresses for the mission homes if you want to send something before we get their new addresses but my guess is that waiting will be just as fast getting to them because the mission office won't have to deliver or forward them.

Less that a week till departure to CA

Hello family, loyal friends and followers!
We got two short letters this week from the Elders Christensen here is Matt's

hey so things are going great! i can't get pics here so i will look at them in the feild. thats great that you had a fun time at the cabin i already miss it! i have recived one letter from laina and jeff and ofcourse some from the family. nothing really funny has happened i just get along with my comps really well and we joke all the time. oh thats way funny that zeek thought dan and abie were me and ben tell him and give him lots of love for me. thats so cool that the swim team took state again i knew they could do it! i have a boy and a girl teacher and they are both great i definately learn more from sister remington than brother heasley but thats just cause she has lots of energy like me. haha. the mtc is fine and i'm super excited to get out into the field! i get along well with my district except for one elder who drives me freaking crazy. lets see

hey dude thanks for the advise on the whole haircut thing i was kind of freaking out cuz i didnt want to look like a marine haha well i have to say i am kind of jealous of kirk. new sims boots that awesome! so there is a kid on my floor who fly fishes and is just about as obsessed with it as we are but he is from pensilvania and has only fished the green once! i guess i never really knew how blessed i am to live so close and have a father willing to take me there! thank you! we have already made plans that we are going to take them fishing on the green when we get back so be prepared haha well i gotta go thanks for the email

Letters from both!

Its official, I have heard from both Matt and Ben. I got Matt's letter today and he is just as happy and excited as Ben. Matt has two Companions, one that is going to Riverside CA and one from Honolulu HI that will be serving in San Fran with him. Matt mentioned that his p-day will be Wed. so I am looking forward to his email then. Ben's companion is from Bountiful, Elder McLure. He mentioned that his teacher is a sister who is actually from the Ventura area and she is awesome!

We have been notified that Matt and Ben arrived safely at the MTC and have been assigned mailing addresses. They will only be at the MTC for just under 3 weeks so if you want to write them while they are there, don't put it off. The best way to send a letter there is through dearelder.com. It is free and easy to do but you have to have the address so here are both.
